Tool Access / Checkouts
Before you can use any of the tools at TXRX Labs you need to be checked out. There are 2 ways to get checked out. The first is to take the Level 1 class (Wood I, 3D Printing, etc.). The second is to pass a check out test. Check out tests are for professionals who already know how to use the tools in a specific lab and may be scheduled by emailing the Lab Manager.
All classes more than 1 year old will not count towards checkout for new members.
After completing a class or check out test, you will only be allowed to work during Office Hours. Once the Lab Manager is confident in your skill level, they will add you to the check out list and your RFID card will be activated to open the door to that lab. You will repeat these steps for each lab you want to use.
